Skyline Loft: Downtown Buffalo

The stay was good. We were for a church convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel which I was glad that we had our own living space. The only thing was the spiral staircase needed to be fixed and it was the whole entire trip. No one seemed concerned. That definitely is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The property manager was very responsive and accommodating! We needed to check in early to prepare for a meeting and he made it happen for us!

Nice house, beautiful interior design/layout Positive: We stayed at the house because of its proximity to the Convention Centre; neighbourhood is like much of Buffalo, nothing to write home about. We loved the house. The bedrooms, kitchen, lounge area, toilets/bathrooms, etc. were great—spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. One downside was the state of the staircase leading to the upper floor; the railings were unhinged/broken and it creaked with each step, often felt like it was going to collapse with the weight of whoever was climbing it. We complained to the housemanager and he said they would fix it. Another downside was the parking spot in front of the house. We were told it was free parking but we incurred two parking tickets from parking out there (which the housemanager promised to reimburse but has so neglected to do so). Apparently, street parking is not allowed during the winter months, so as to make way for the snowplow and school bus. Other than those two issues, it was a good stay and met our needs.

The property was in a great location. It could have easily been a five star stay but there are a few things they need to work on. First, all of the linens and towels were filthy. We reached out to the property manager and told them and they brought back towels that were equally filthy. Literally stains and makeup on almost every single one. They also had no face towels in the entire home. One deficiency they have is the home has stairs everywhere, but on the main level, there is no couch. There is no comfortable place to sit on the entire main level. Just poor thinking in a home that you must take stairs to get everywhere.
